Of Guelph passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Thursday July 29, 2021, in her 79th year after a courageous battle with cancer.  

Beloved wife of Maurice (Moe) of New Brunswick and survived by her most loved daughters Kim Costigan (Bill) and Melissa, both of Guelph. Cherished grandmother to Jonathan and Thomas. Predeceased by her parents Jack (1977) and Madeline (1993), sister Joanne (2018) and brother-in-law Bill Pearson (1979). Survived by brother Paul (Heather), sister Carolin (Ted 2013), brother Eric (Tina) and dearly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Jackie loved cooking and spending countless hours in her extensive flower and vegetable gardens. She was enthusiastically involved in her church and the Guelph Legion Branch 234, and was an avid reader.  

Jackie's 40+ year career at the Co-operators in Guelph gained her many dear and precious friends which she maintained long after her retirement. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice Wellington for their care during Jackie's time with them.  

According to Jackie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Wellington or the Canadian Cancer Society.  

A tree will be planted in memory of Jacqueline L. Ferris in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
