FIGLIUZZI, Bruno

Passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital surrounded by family on October 8, 2022 at the age of 79. Bruno was the beloved husband of Diane (Cardow) for 55 wonderful years. Cherished and deeply missed father of Jeff (Juli), Rob (Cheryl) Maria Dilello (Desi) and Jason (Christine). Loving and proud Nonno of Kirsten, Tyler, Ryan, Rhett, Haley, Quinton, Dante, Mya, Savannah, Skyla, Blaize, Caitlyn and Kylee. Survived by his sister Raffaela Muzzi and many brothers and sisters in law.

Bruno was born in Serra San Bruno, Calabria, Italy on September 11, 1943. He immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings at a very young age. After school in Huntsville he went to Montreal to study hair styling and eventually opened his salon Bruno’s Hairstyling in Guelph where he was married and raised his family. Bruno had many interests; making wine, gardening, golf, cars, puzzles, exercising at “the Y”, and playing cards with friends at the Seniors Community Centre. But his main focus in life was his family. His level of joy was always directly related to the amount of family that surrounded him.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph where family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 9:00pm. A vigil for Bruno will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 5:45pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Parish, 45 Victoria Rd. N Guelph on Thursday, October 13 at 10:30am. Interment will be at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Guelph General Hospital Foundation or St. John’s Parish would be appreciate by the family as expressions of sympathy.
