On April 11, 2024, David Findlay walked peacefully into the arms of his Saviour, at the age of 90, surrounded by his family.

He was married to the love of his life, Joyce Findlay (Moe), for 65 cherished years. David is survived by his wife Joyce; his daughter Patti Kueppers; his son Peter (Carolyn) Findlay; his grandsons Mike (Danielle) Kueppers, Jordan Kueppers, and Nicholas Findlay; his favourite granddaughter Becky (Josh) McCammon; and his four great-grandchildren.

In his 90 years, David touched the lives of many. He was best known for two things: his unwavering love for Jesus Christ and his tendency to strike up a conversation with every. single. person. he encountered.

He got great joy from sharing about his years as a missionary in Ecuador. David's hobbies included talking to everyone, collecting balsa birds against Joyce's wishes, stockpiling flashlights without batteries, and drawers full of knickknacks, or as he called them, cachibachis.

David is reunited in heaven with his parents, brother, and many dear friends. His legacy of faith and compassion live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph (519-821-5077). A private family service was held in accordance with David's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of the following organizations in memory of him: Living Truth Broadcast (Canada), Scott Mission (Canada) or to Extreme Response (Usa). Donations can be made in person at the funeral home (cash and cheque accepted) or online under Memorial Contributions. Your generosity will honour David's memory and continue his legacy of service to others.
