Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents William Findlay and Lillian Findlay (nee Peters). Survived by his brother Jack (Eleanor) Findlay and his sister Mae (Bruce) Hall. Dawn will be dearly missed by his nephews Paul (Chau) Findlay, Jonathan (Anna) Findlay and family, and Lee (Shonel) Hall and family.

Dawn was an avid sports fan, showing continuous support for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays throughout the years. He also had a love of Elvis and other types of music. Dawn was a gentle soul with a great sense of humour. He will be dearly missed.

A special thank you to the many caregivers at Hospice Wellington, Guelph General Hospital, and his multiple group homes for all their care and support. 

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington, Alzheimer’s Society, or Community Living Guelph Wellington would be appreciated. 

 

A tree will be planted in memory of Dawn O. A. Findlay in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
