It is with great sadness that the family of Erma Fines announce her passing on March 7, 2017 at Hospice Wellington at the age of 92. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (2003). Her loss is mourned deeply by her daughter, Darlene Hodgson (Dale) and her son, Larry Fines (Trish). Also she will be dearly missed by grandchildren, Kory Hodgson (Daisy), Leanne Fines (Nguyen), Lisa Fines (Jeff), Pat Schnarr and Greg Schnarr (Carol). She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Hailey, Cali, Maximus, Audrey, Evelyn and Damian. A special thanks to Dr. Dory and Dr. Chan of Guelph General Hospital and to the very caring and compassionate team at Hospice Wellington. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Saturday, March 11th, 2017 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m.. Reception in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Spring interment will be at Huxley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Hospice Wellington.
A tree will be planted in memory of Erma V. Fines in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
