On Saturday April 13, 2024 the world lost a beautiful soul in Ida Finoro (nee DiCamillo) in her 95th year. Ida was born on the 20th of June 1929 in the small town of Pollutri, the province of Pescara in the region of Abbruzzi Italy. She immigrated to Canada following her husband in 1953 to start a new chapter. A seamstress by trade she kept busy helping at Giardino Taylors, making hockey jerseys for the CanAm Hockey School and of course all those special outfits made from scratch for family and friends.

Predeceased by her loving husband Domenico (2004) and grandson Brenton (2013). Proud mother to Roseanna (Domenic), Roberto (Maria), Linda (Doug), Teresa (Terry), David, and Loretta; Nonna to her grandchildren John, Valerie, Deva, Riley, Sandon, Sydney, Shaydon, Seager, Zoe and Leo; and Nana to her great grandchildren Penny, Farley, Myah, Harper, Lucas and Makaylah. Ida will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all her relatives in Italy.

Family would like to thank the whole care team at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph on the Whispering Oaks Unit for their wonderful care and support.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where a Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 9:00am to 12:00pm with Funeral Service to follow in the Dublin Chapel at 12:00pm. Burial at Marymount Catholic Cemetery, 5400 Highway 6 North, Guelph. Please wear something colorful and avoid black as per Ida’s final wishes.
