It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia M. Fitzgerald of Guelph, in her 77th year. Patricia passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 29, 2024 with son, Michael, and dear friend Rose by her side.
Pat is predeceased by her son Sean D. MacKinnon (2022). She is also predeceased by brother's Robert, Danny, and Clayton Fitzgerald.
Pat was the beloved mother of Michael MacKinnon and loving grandmother of 4 beautiful children who will miss her infectious smile, funny jokes, and endless supply of Kinder, Egg surprises, among so many other amazing memories.
Pat was a firecracker! She had a zest for life like no other. In a crowd of many, Pat always stood out. She had charisma and was never fearful to be who she was; which was such a beautiful quality of Pat's.
There was nothing more important in the world to Pat than her family and her friends. She cared so deeply for both. But Pat also had a big heart for those in need. She was so thoughtful, extremely giving, and would do just about anything to help those who needed it the most. The way Pat lit up a room will forever be missed but we find comfort in knowing that she's at peace with her angels "on the other side" as she'd say.
As per Pat's request, there will be a private gathering of family and friends to honour her life at a later date.
