Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 20th, 2021 at the
age of 93.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Dave (1984), and son Chuck Fletcher
(June 18, 2021). Loving mother of Marlene Thompson and her husband Phil,
Ken Fletcher and his wife Cheryl. Betty will fondly be remembered by her
grandchildren Kris Francis (Tracey), Sarah Wright (Steve), Raeanna
Martin (Miguel), Ashley McCullough (Kevin), Melissa Newton (Derek), as
well as 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a regular attendee at the Guelph Seniors Centre where she
enjoyed playing euchre, snooker, and spending time with her many
friends.
In her younger years she was an avid golfer and belonged to a walking
club. She also enjoyed her family vacations camping, and going to Rice
Lake with her children and grandchildren. Betty spent many year
canvassing for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, a charity near
and dear to her heart.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, “Dublin Chapel”,
252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. A private family service and burial
will take place. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
