March 28, 1933 – April 22, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an incredible woman. Lorna passed away at Hospice Wellington on Monday April 22, 2024, at the age of 91 years, with her family by her side.

Lorna (nee Gregson) of Guelph-Eramosa Township was the adoring wife of the late Les Foote (2014). Mom will always be loved and remembered by Marlene Parsons (Steve), Bob Foote, Betty Myer (Don) and Neil Foote (Stacy). Loving Grandma of Lisa East (Adam), Jason Myer (Joanne), Julianne McEwan (Thomas), John Parsons (Priscilla), Jeff Myer (Nancy), Crystal Davidson (Brett), Stephanie Gibson (Stewart) & Liam Foote and Great Grandma of Kaliesha (Dave), Jadalynn (Nick), K.J., Seth, Elli, Jason, Chase, Tyler, Lochlan and Malcolm. Lorna is also remembered by her sister Lois MacKinnon (late Bill). She is predeceased by her brothers Ansley (Marion), Doug (Peggy) and Gord (Loreen).

Lorna was born on the family farm on the third line of Erin Township. This is where her love for family, farming, baking, sewing, crafting, painting, and gardening all began. Mom is the HEART of our family.

Some of our treasured memories of mom/ (great) grandma are her bottomless cookie jar, handmade Christmas ornaments, big family meals and gatherings. Mom’s favourite things in life was having the family together at the home, whether it be working together or having a good time.

Sending a special thank you to Dr. G. Wallace for looking after mom over the years, Dr. C. Graham, and the wonderful staff of Hospice Wellington, and to Jane Duck for her special care and visits with mom.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Lorna’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Wellington.

A tree will be planted in memory of Lorna M. Foote in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
