It is with sadness and heavy hearts we at Community Living Guelph announce the passing of David Forten on June 8, 2017. David passed away peacefully in his 68th year at the Guelph General Hospital. David will be missed by his extended family at the Marden Road group home, where he resided with his housemates of many years, Monica, Ron, Christopher and his support staff. David will be fondly remembered for his gentle demeanor and his love for “Tim Hortons coffee”. Visitation will take place at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Please join us on Thursday, June 15, 2017 for a celebration of David’s life at Marden Road group home from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Memorial contributions to Community Living Guelph Wellington would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of David C. Forten in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
