FRIEL, Kathleen Anne – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen, who left us suddenly on February 19th, at the Guelph General Hospital in her 60th year. She passed away with her devoted husband Gord by her side.
Kathleen was a beloved wife to Gord, a cherished mom to Kaiya, a doting grandma to Jayla, and many other grandchildren. She was loved by her sisters, Valerie Thistle (the late Brian) and Kimberly Merkley (Frank), and will be deeply missed by her nieces Michelle, Danielle (Trevor), Amanda (Tyson), and great-aunt to Bryant, Riley, and Sage. Kathleen was also a loving stepmom to Heather and Andrea.
Known for her big heart and unwavering love for her family, Kathleen found joy in being a dedicated mom, sister, wife, and aunt. Her warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her. Kathleen’s presence will be greatly missed, but her love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rest in peace, Kathleen. You will always be remembered with love and fondness.
Friends will be received at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00-2:00pm. Funeral service will start at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
