Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Maria Funk (2006). Loved father of Sonya (Brian) Lagueux and Debra Ann Thompson. Proud grandfather of Cory (Jordan) Thompson and Joshua Thompson; great grandfather of Cylus, Austin and Charlie. Gerry will be fondly remembered by his sisters in law: Hermina Wagner, Hedi Funk, Christa Funk and their families. Predeceased by his brother Wolfgang and Waldemar Funk.

Funeral services will be at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Interment Marymount Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions to the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated.
