Was born June 8, 1938, & her earthly journey came to a close Sunday April 5, 2020 at the Village of Riverside Glen in the city of Guelph.
She was the loving wife for 60 years & best friend of the Rev. Fred Futers, mother of Rev. Jeff Futers (Sharon), Bonnie Soule (Mike), & Larry Futers (Mary Lynn). She was grandmother of Austin Futers (Amanda), Alana Futers, Andrew Soule, & great-grandmother of Addison & Abel Futers.
Beverley was a daughter of the late William Bernard Redner & Aletha (Bird), step-daughter of Doris (Hawley), dear sister of Ron, Eleanor, Margaret, Mary, & Jim. She was pre-deceased by sisters Wilma, Marilyn, Sylvia, Joy, & brother Gordon. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, dearest friend of Rose Green & Bev’s Parkview Church family.
Beverley loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved life & laughter, good music, good books, & her Bible is well worn. As a 50 yr Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada credential holder, her kind, gentle spirit was evident in her ministry in the church & in the home. A woman of faith & prayer, her greatest joy was to lift the fallen, mend the broken heart, or find a person’s hidden talent & bring it to its full potential. Active in Christian Ed, VBS, women’s ministries & various other areas of need, she earned the commendation of her peers as one who “served with distinction.” She was a real-life example of the Godly woman described in Proverbs 31. In 2013 she became the centrepiece of Alzheimer Society of Canada’s national awareness & education program, “See Me Not My Disease,” that swept across the country overnight. The lives she has touched during her life are the legacy Bev leaves & she will forever live in our hearts. We say, “well done good & faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Special thanks to Drs Stemerdink, Noor, Traplin, & Kennedy for your wisdom & care on Beverley’s behalf. The Futers family also owes a huge debt of gratitude to the many nurses, care givers, & staff members at Riverside Glen Erin neighbourhood, for your tireless efforts & labours of love, providing Bev the care she needed at this time in her life. May the Lord reward you & keep you safe.
Private family burial has already taken place in Deseronto cemetery not far from the Mohawk Pentecostal Church where the Futers’ full-time ministry began in 1961. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, a public celebration of Beverley’s life will be held at a future time.

A tree will be planted in memory of Beverley J. Futers in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
