Gatto, Mary Ida (nee Bianchi)

Born April 8, 1931 in Norval and raised on the family farm, Sunny Acre Farms. It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our cherished and beautiful mother, Nonna and BisNonna. Mary peacefully passed away on March 1st, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Leno Gatto (1988). Loving mother of Susan (late Raymond), Mark, Julia (late Patrick) and Michael (Rhonda). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and newly born great grandson. Also missed by her sisters Joy and Grace. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Emily Bianchi, brother Walter, sisters Elsie, Hilda and Edith.
Family and friends will be received at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph on Sunday March 5, 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Catholic Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N. Guelph on Monday March 6, 10:30am. Those wishing to honour her memory are encouraged to make a donation to Hospice Wellington, Guelph.
