Mr. Ryszard Giemza passed away peacefully, with his
family by his side at the St. Joseph's Health Care Centre, Guelph on
Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of
Józefa (née Wierzbicka). Cherished father of Iwona (Harley) Roque, Agnes
(Andrew) Sliwak, Robert (Jen Arellano) and John. Loving grandfather of
Ashley, Cassy, Mateo, Jeremi and Jenna. Ryszard is survived by his
siblings Edward, Zdzislaw, Joanna, Stanislawa Zdeb, Dorota Hajdo, Bogumila
Bodzioch and Malgorzata Stryk. Pre-deceased by his siblings Bronislaw,
Emil and Alfreda Ogorzelec.
You could always find Ryszard enjoying nature and his surroundings as he
loved to go fishing, hunting, work on his garden and his miniature farm.
He loved going to the farmer's market, smoking his own sausage and most
importantly, spending time with his family. The Giemza family would like
to thank the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Juravinski
Hospital in Hamilton for their compassion and care. A special thank you to
the Palliative Care Team at the St. Joseph's Health Care Centre for their
support and kindness during this difficult time.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin Street, North, Guelph on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2-4p.m. and
6-8p.m. Rosary will be held at the funeral home at 8p.m. The funeral mass
will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice Street, Guelph on Wednesday,
January 22, 2020 at 11a.m. Burial at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. Reception
to be held at the Sacred Heart Church Hall following the burial. If so
desired, memorial donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre can be made at
the funeral home
