Passed away peacefully at beautiful Hospice Simcoe on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the age of 71.
Beloved husband to Nadene (nee Thornton). Father of Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Nicole. Grandfather to Cole, Tyler, and Taylor. Great grandfather to Skye and Aliyah. Dear brother of Bob (Brenda) and Anne. Predeceased by his foster parents Gordon and Betty Austin.
Allan was so devoted in the last year of his fight with cancer. He wanted to make sure that his beautiful wife Nadene was going to be looked after, and he sure made all of it happen. He was very blessed with all the love and unbelievable support from his brother Bob, sister-in-law Brenda, and all of the Thornton family. He also had all of the love and support of his neighbours and friends. At Hospice Simcoe, his wife was so blessed to be with him and his son Jeff by his side, they got to sing the Beach Boys Kokomo – one of his favourite songs – and his wife Nadene turned out to be a great singer, LOL.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held at a later date when we can safely gather. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051.
