It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruna on November 9, 2019 in her 96th year. She was born in Trevignano, Italy and grew up in Fossalunga. The daughter of the late Felice Pavan and Carlota Alba Morandin. She was married in 1949 to Valentino Girardi of Casacorba for 47 years who passed away Feb 29, 1996. She is survived by a sister Luigia Favaro (late husband Gino) of Silea, Italy. She was predeceased by her six brothers and two sisters: Primo and his wife Silvia, Angela, Giuseppe and his wife Cecilia, Luigi of Treviso, Italy, Antonio and his wife Irma, Bruno and his wife Pierina, Angelo and his wife Leonilde and Augusta and her husband Giovanni. Bruna will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St, N, Guelph, on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held for Bruna at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass for Bruna will be held at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. The family wish to thank the Ellington staff and community, Dr. Karen Kennedy and the Bayshore nurses for their care and kindness over the past few months.
