Aug. 25, 1946 - Jan. 8, 2024

On Monday Jan. 8 we said goodbye to our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. James (Jim) Allen Graham passed from this world on his own terms after a valiant battle with leukaemia.

Jim will be sorely missed by all who loved him including the love of his life, his wife, May Graham. His pride and joys, his daughters and son in laws, Kim and Graham Freer, Lisa and Scott Dittmar and Kelly O’Toole.  His stepchildren Christine (Mark) and Myles (Tracy). His most beloved grandchildren Kyla (Josh), Ryan, Brandon, Eryn (Tanner), Justin (Megi), Haley, Jesse (Cody), Jordan (Tyler),  Megan (Mikayla), Darren (Ilene) and great grandchildren Austin, Blake, Addy, Parker, Wynter, Willow and Tanner.

Jim will also be missed by his cherished brother Joe and nieces and nephews, Jim, Scott (Karyn), Tim and Tara and so many friends he held dear to him.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Isabel and siblings, Sally, Robert and Barbara.

Jim left this world doing it his way - on his own terms and in his true take charge, organized fashion, he ensured that all the fine details were considered and taken care of. In the days leading up to Jim’s passing, his family and friends had the opportunity to spend precious time with him, sharing stories, lessons, personal messages and so many laughs. He gave us a final gift over these days and taught us lessons in courage and bravery. Even at his weakest, he demonstrated so much strength for all of us and reminded us that life is all about family and friends and that you need to have fun and laugh hard. His family and his beloved Bozley were able to be with him as he passed from this world, where he made us laugh until his last breath and we listened and sang to the most fitting song by frank Sinatra, I did it my way.

Jim has requested that there be no visitation or funeral but that a memorial for all of his family and friends, to come together to honour and celebrate him, be held in the spring. According to Jim, this will be a great party and there will be many amazing stories and many laughs to be shared.  Details of the memorial will be shared at a later date.

Our family would like to extend our gratitude to MAID and especially Dr. Thomas, who gave our husband and dad the opportunity to leave this world on his own terms and with so much dignity.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Keep sending us the signs Jimmy xoxo.
