Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, January 1, 2018 in her 93rd year, with her family by her side. Beloved wife and best friend of 72 years to the late William “Wally” (February 2017). Loved mother of Larry (Debbie), Cheryl, and Steve (Nancy). Cherished grandmother of Dean, Wayne, Lorraine, Terra, Jessica, Joel, Amanda and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister of John, Reg and Dave of England, Ted and Len of Canada. Predeceased by sisters Kit and Rene.
Dora was a proud veteran having served in the RAF. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Col. John McCrae Memorial Branch 234.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm. A celebration of Dora’s life will take place in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial contributions to the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated.
