With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Laurie Lee Hagarty, of Guelph, Ontario on August 5th, 2022, at the age of 62. She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Lafontaine, son, Zachary Vettor and step brother, David Vandenbusch. She will be lovingly remembered by her father, Robert Hagarty, son Rob Vettor (Andrea), daughter, Brianna Hagarty, and grandchildren, Audrey and Charlotte Vettor as well as surviving brother Tyler Lafontaine and step brother, Darryl Vandenbusch. Laurie will also be missed by her many friends, neighbours and extended family.

Laurie was born in Guelph, Ontario where she attended school. As a child you could find her swimming on frequent family trips to Sauble Beach. Laurie was passionate about music and dancing. She had an active social life and loved to talk, laugh, crack jokes and have a good time. At a young age she met her husband to be, Richard Vettor and began building her family and home while working as a hair stylist. Laurie always looked forward to family holidays and trips to her father’s house in Long Point where she enjoyed beaches, campfires and family time. Later in life, Laurie found joy in spending time with her dog Bella.

As per Laurie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 10:00am - 11:00am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel. All are welcome to join for a reception following the service in the Hart Fellowship Lounge.
