HAMMILL, William

LCol William H. Hammill CD (Bill) of Guelph ON, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on the 29th of April 2022, in his 85th year. Loving husband for over 62 years to Virginia Lee Hammill (nee Wildfang). Father to Tom (Hetty); Chris (Krista). Grandfather to Bekki (Ian), Daniel and Jack. Brother of Ken (deceased) and John both of Guelph. Partner at J.P. Hammill & Son Ltd.; Commanding Officer of the 11th Field Regiment Guelph 1977-80 & 1982-84. Bill enjoyed his many friends and sports including hockey, skiing, sailing and flying his own taildragger aircraft at the Guelph Airpark.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph where the family will receive friends for a drop in visitation/celebration on Thursday, May 5, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm in the Funeral Home Lounge. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph. As per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place.
