Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the age of 85.
He was the last sibling of the Hannigan clan to leave us. Predeceased by his brothers Cliff, Lionel, Jerry, Reg and his sisters Elinor, Eileen and Muriel. Predeceased by his wife Margaret Jane Morrison.
Survived by his first wife Frances and his children Colleen (Trevor), Bill (Denise) and Cindy (Rodney). Also survived by his step-children Sharon, Tom (Sonia), Margaret and Alec (Judy). Predeceased by his step-children Geraldine and Bobby. He will be missed by many grandchildren, especially Wade, and many great grandchildren.
A service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 190 Marksam Rd., Guelph on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital or the church would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Percy E. Hannigan in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
