HARENDARZ, Janina

Passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph. Janina (Kuchta) Harendarz, in her 91st year, was the beloved wife of the late Waclaw Harendarz (July 11, 1997). Loving mother of Monika Harendarz, Susy Cannon (Malcolm Cannon) and Annette Harendarz (Nick Giardino), all of Guelph. Dear Babcia (grandmother) of Erika Levett (Dennis Levett), Dean Veri, Dina Clarke (Michael Fowler) and Andrea Comini (Peter Comini). Cherished Pra-Babcia (great-grandmother) of Nadia and Nicholas Levett, Domenic and Natalia Comini. Dear sister of Peter Kuchta of Russia. Predeceased by sister, Lolka and brother, Alfonas. Janina overcame tremendous hardships in her early life which made her a strong, loving and nurturing “Babcia”. Her energy was endless. Traditional cooking, “fancy” sandwiches, state side shopping (all kinds of shopping), strawberry picking and Polish picnics are some of the beautiful memories we will cherish forever. Friends and family are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, for visitation on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A vigil for Janina will take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice Street, Guelph, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
