It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Hatch on the morning of Tuesday, February 11, 2020, after a battle with cancer. He passed gracefully and peacefully, surrounded by family at his home in Belwood.
Mike was full of life, compassion and love. He worked hard everyday and dedicated his life to service, both at his job with Cummins, and within his community, volunteering with numerous organizations over the years. He had a special way with people and animals alike, who were drawn to his calm and gentle demeanor. Most of all, Mike loved his family. He was a tremendous mentor, not only to his three sons, but to all of their friends as well, showing his support to everyone he met, in any way he could. He was a true legend to those who had the honour of knowing him, and he will be greatly missed.
Mike’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in his honour on Sunday, February 23 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Community Centre located within the Pine Meadows Retirement Community (8473 Wellington Road 19, Belwood, Ontario).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Guelph Humane Society in Mike’s name would greatly be appreciated.
