Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5th, 2018 at the Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus. Dorothy nee Mogk of Waterloo at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Heipel (Aug 5/17). Loving mother of Jane and her husband Dave Martin of Conestogo. Cherished grandmother of Jillian and Eric.

Loved sister of Isabel Graul and her husband Cameron of Stratford, Jacqueline Gray and her husband Andy of Milverton, and sister-in-law Dorothy Mogk of Guelph and Ron Hammer and his wife Carol of Tavistock. Dear sister and sister- in- law of the late Clarence Mogk (Dorothy), William Mogk (in infancy), Viola Luckhardt (Clayton), Florence Gropp (Earl), Paul Mogk (Lorene), Harvey Mogk (Mae), and Georgine McLeod (Allen), Earl Mogk and Lorraine Brubacher (Aden). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Dorothy will be remembered as an elementary teacher in Mannheim, Doon and Breslau as well as having supplied for the Waterloo Board. Dorothy enjoyed spending her time gardening, cooking, canning and entertaining. A loving, giving and generous spirit endeared her to all.

Family and friends will be received at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOMES-WATERLOO CHAPEL, 617 KING ST. N. WATERLOO from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday. A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at the ST. PETER'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2925 LOBSINGER LINE, HEIDELBERG, on Friday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment, St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg. Remembrances to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, or the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
