July 21,1947 until June 20, 2021.  Susan courageously fought a 16-month battle with cancer and got her angel wings surrounded by the love of her sisters.  Sue died peacefully, passport in hand, and ready for her next journey.  Survived by her family Michael Hoare of Sauble Beach, Stephen Hoare (Barbara) of Canberra, Australia, Sally Whittle (Fred Quinton) of Puslinch and Maggie Beatty (John) of Rockwood.  Sue was predeceased by her father Robert Greer Hoare (2003) and her mother Ethel Jean Hoare (1959).  Susan loved and was loved by her nephew Gregory Whittle, nieces Jessica Whittle, Jean Beatty, Lesley Beatty and Sarah Grainger.  Susan will be missed by her great-nephews Jared Whittle, Mason Dale, William Grainger and her great-nieces, Abigail Whittle, Georgia Cox, and Lilly Grainger.  Susan had many close friends, travel companions, work colleagues from Safety-Kleen Breslau and the Guelph Boomer Club members who will miss her cheerful smile, her positive attitude and her zest for life.  Susan’s remains have been cremated and her ashes will be interred in the Alliston Union cemetery with her mother at a later day.  A private ceremony to celebrate Susan’s life will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Guests are invited to attend remotely via Zoom using the link on the funeral home website.

Susan was extremely grateful to the staff at the Guelph General Hospital, Grand River Cancer Clinic, the nurses from Paramed, the Waterloo-Wellington palliative care team, Dr. W. Ruddock and nurse Bonita.  Susan appreciated all the care and was a gracious patient.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Susan M. Hergott in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
