It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn on July 8th in her 67th year. Beloved daughter of Dorothy and the late Sam, dear sister to Larry (Cindy) and beloved aunt to Amy Rocha (Neil), Matthew (Lisa) and Corey (Jenny), and a special great aunt to Vaughan and Lachlan Rocha. Evelyn volunteered with many organizations and was a determined advocate for the disabled. She was an avid fan of both the Guelph Royals and the Guelph Storm and could often be seen at games. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside memorial will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Evelyn L. Herron in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
