It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Rob Hill on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the age of 61. Rob is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Janice MacDonald, his children Jenn, Alysia and Ryan, his sister Wendy Rush, brothers David Hill (Bernie) and Brian Hill (Neil) his stepmother Susan Hill and his brothers-in-law John MacDonald and Paul MacDonald. Rob will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. He
was predeceased by his parents Gerry and Joanne, his son Michael and his-mother in-law Annie MacDonald.

Rob retired from Guelph-Wellington EMS in 2019, after almost 40 years of service as a paramedic. He took great pride in his career and in mentoring his colleagues. His kind and gentle approach to patient care and commitment to providing excellent service was notable. He was well respected by his colleagues. Rob was a quiet, dedicated family man. He
enjoyed the comforts of home, a good cup of coffee and company of friends and family. He enjoyed time in his canoe, swimming, skiing, walks with his furry friends Remy and Maizey and was always open to lend a hand where needed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and often seized an opportunity to tease or lighten the mood with his quick wit. The world was a better place with him in it. He will be forever missed.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will be held at the Guelph Country Club 133 Woodlawn Road E., immediately following the Funeral Mass.
