With deep sadness we announce the death of Richard John Howard, 71, on May 22, 2021. Predeceased by his loving wife Ruth, his parents, John and Doreen Howard and his nephew Dwayne. Loving brother of the late Corinne (Pat) Taylor. Linda (Gerry) Larcina, Julie (Jim) Service, Kim (Bill) Cain. Rick grew up in the hard of hearing and the deaf community where he enjoyed life and made friends. He loved to laugh and play games. His later years were spent at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf in Toronto where he enthusiastically took part in all activities enjoying the company of others. Needing more care, he moved to the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf in Barrie. The support and care he received is much appreciated by his family.
He will be deeply missed by his nieces Lorna (Gord), Jessica (Stephen) his nephews Dan, Aaron (Lisa), Greg (Aleksandra), Ian (Brianne), Stuart, Kyle and Mitchell, great nieces Scotlynn, Aphra, Charlotte and Beatriz, his great nephews Dashiell and Will. Rick was a kind, gentle and loving man who always remembered our birthdays and anniversaries. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
Rick is now in his eternal home in the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
