Peacefully at home on August 19, 2019. Jinny was the widow of Oliver, Mother of Peter (Sheila), Robin (Karen) and Grandmother of Steen (Jodi). She is survived by her brother John (Marion) and nieces and nephews.
Jinny was born in Chippawa, Ontario, and spent most of her life in Puslinch Township. She was a consummate gardener, loved birds and animals especially cats and made the best butter tarts.
Jinny was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law. She was always supportive of our plots and plans, always willing to give her opinion and defend our choices.
She loved Steen dearly and was very proud of him.
We'll remember her and we'll miss her.
In accordance with Jinny's wishes, she has been cremated and there will be no service. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051.
A tree will be planted in memory of Virginia M. (Jinny) Hume in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
