In his 86th year, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 6, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Don passed away two days prior to his 62nd wedding anniversary to his beloved wife and best friend, Margaret Florence Gertrude (Evans). He was the proud father of his four children Mark (Sandy), Cameron (Anissa), Maria (Frank Dileonardo) and Carolyn (Richard Goodchild). Don was a wonderful granddad to Lisa (Trevor Boudreau), Jeff Hunter, Jordan and Emily Dileonardo, Zachary, Brodie and Avery Goodchild and great-granddad to Griffon Boudreau, Noah and Lachlan Hunter.
Family and friends will be received on Monday November 11, 2019, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Gilchrist Chapel, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph, ON. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday November 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster-St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 206 Victoria Road North, Guelph, ON. A luncheon will follow after burial at Farnham Cemetery.
A very special thanks to the staff at Riverside Glen – Puslinch for their loving and compassionate care of our Dad over the last several months. In memory of Don, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
