Peacefully, in the arms of his loving wife Martha and with his daughter at his side, Hans passed away on December 20,2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Beloved husband and best friend of Martha for 61 wonderful years, loving father of Mark (Renee), Yvette (Dwayne), caring Opa of Anika (William), Willem, Bayla, Carley and Ashley and Opapa to John and Charlotte. Predeceased by his infant son Hans Jr. Dear brother of Jan (Hannie) and brother-in- law of Wilma (Dennis), Thea (Leslie), Jack (Andrea) and uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Hans loved life and touched all he met with humour and thoughtfulness. Martha and Hans travelled extensively and enjoyed their retirement years in the Village by the Arboretum to the utmost.
We’d like to thank all the PSWs that visited Hans daily and all those that took such great care of him, especially the wonderful staff at Hospice Wellington.
