JONES, Richard Brian

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Brian (Rick) Jones on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 in his 69th year.

He was the loving father to his 3 beautiful children, Kendra Piper (Cory), Brian Jones (Kate Sweet) and Steven Jones. Rick was the proud grandfather to 2 amazing grandkids, Brooklyn Piper and Jake Haines-Jones. Rick was predeceased by his parents from Chatham, Norm and Mabel Jones. He is survived by his sister Kathryn, nieces Alberta Edson and Michelle Mayer. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family including Susan Jones.

Rick had a lengthy career in print media, working for many years with the Guelph Mercury and more recently the Registrar Company. Rick also enjoyed helping in the community as a Rotarian.

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that helped Rick in his final months at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
