Passed away peacefully in Guelph, Ontario on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the age of 83.

She was born on March 18, 1940, in Toronto, Ontario at St. Joseph’s. She is survived by her loving children; Darlene (Gus), Henry (Nazan), and Dale (Susy); grandchildren; Tonia (Ben), Eric (Kristin), Dayna (Dan), Gabrielle, Shelby, Tristin, and great grandchildren; AutumnRose (Matt), Blane, Daniel, Ava, Benson, Cruz, and Preston, loving family and friends; Diana and Al, and Alison, and lastly her fur grandbabies; Oakley and Cuba. She was passionate about her family, whom she referred to as her “diamonds”, road trips which often led to a slot machine pull or a sweet tooth stop along the way. She was always there to offer support, and be ready for late-night shenanigans, laughs or a good card game. She had a heart of gold, and always made everyone feel welcome and special. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her loving husband (of 60 years), Henry Kanis, Parents Johanna and Arthur McLaren, Son Garth, Brother Carl (the late Hazel) and Son-In-Law Trino.
