It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francis Joseph Kelly on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Allendale Long Term Care Home, Milton at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia Rose Kelly. Loving father of Audra Kelly and her husband Keith Flasher, Andrea Kelly-Loosemore and her husband Paul Loosemore. Devoted grandfather of Alexandrea Loosemore, Joshua Loosemore, Alyssa Kelly-Flasher and Nathan Kelly-Flasher. Joe is survived by his sisters Bonnie Davies and Karla Ertel as well as many nieces and nephews. Joe will be greatly missed by family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his parents Francis Kelly and Veronica Kelly and by his sisters Barb Delany, Leone Calendar, and brothers Paul Kelly and James Kelly.
Joe was a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather and a wonderful friend to many. Joe was a retired teacher who was passionate about his career and the success of his students. He will be greatly missed. A special thank you to all of the staff at Allendale Long Term Care Home, Allen House, who showed compassion and love to Joe in his final year.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph. Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:30am. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 762 Woolwich Street, Guelph. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Fellowship Lounge.
