May 22, 1981 - November 8, 2021
Charles was born in Papua New Guinea 40 years ago. As an infant he contracted meningitis and by the time he was one it was obvious that he would never walk or talk or be able to take care of himself. But he was a happy child and grew into a happy adult. He was constantly smiling or laughing. People used to say he was the happiest person they knew, in spite of his handicaps.
Then in September the smiles became fewer. A cancerous mass was found in his abdomen. We tried radiation treatments but to no avail. He died November 8.
He leaves behind his grieving parents, Steve and Patty Kempf as well as his siblings, Christy, Steve, Ben and Matthew. Charles leaves a void in our lives that no one will ever fill. We are especially thankful to Dr. Hood for his care for Charles over the past years.

A tree will be planted in memory of Charles G. Kempf in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
