King Ronald MMP

It is with tremendous heartbreak that we announce the passing of Ron King at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday August 26th, 2022 at the age of 74.

Ron leaves behind his much loved wife and best friend of 52 years, Brenda King (nee Stradiotto.) Cherished dad to Jennifer (Brittany), Adam (Tiffany) and Luke (Kristen). Beloved Grampa to Sidney Cook (Tyler) and Ompa to Paige and Jaxon King.

Ronnie was big brother to Wendy Kelly and Patty Stradiotto (Larry). Son-in-law to Amelia Stradiotto and brother-in-law to Laura and Mario Riso. Predeceased by his parents Ila and Ernie King, his Father-in-law Dino Stradiotto and Brother-in-law John Kelly.  Uncle Ron will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great nieces.

Ron had many fond memories of his long career in Purchasing at W.C. Wood Company and loved getting together with his co-worker buddies to solve all the world's problems at Tim Hortons. During his retirement he enjoyed volunteering at the Royal Canadian Legion (Bingo) and driving people to their appointments with the VON.  Ron loved to travel the world with Brenda and they did so for as long as his health permitted.  Ron loved his church and was always the loudest singer in the room, he enjoyed life to the fullest with his family and friends right to the end.

He fought long and hard but in the end, he slipped away silently surrounded by the family who he was so proud of.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Guelph General Hospital and Guelph Renal Clinic for their kindness, care and compassion during our darkest days.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Wednesday August 31 from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral will be held at St. George’s Church, 99 Woolwich Street on Thursday, September 1st at 11:00 am.

Memorial donations to the Toronto General Hospital - Liver Transplant Research, Guelph General Hospital Foundation or Grand River Hospital - Guelph Renal Clinic would be appreciated.
