It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sharon Marie Kirkwood in her 63rd year with her daughter by her side on Saturday, May 18th at Hospice Wellington.
Loving mother to Christine and Michelle Kirkwood. Cherished Grandmother to Ciara and Alaina Kirkwood. Sister of Karen Kirkwood Cassell and brother Bill Kirkwood. Predeceased by her mother Dorothy and her Father Carl Kirkwood.
Sharon fought a courageous battle with cancer to the very end, like the warrior she was. She loved spending time with her family, singing Karaoke and going to the casino.
Special thanks to the nurses, staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their amazing care and support for the family, and for helping make mom’s last days as comfortable as possible. She especially loved all the various bakery items.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 1:30- 2:00pm. The memorial service will directly follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

The family asks for any donations in Sharon’s memory to be made to the Hospice Wellington.
A tree will be planted in memory of Sharon M. Kirkwood in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
