It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill on Sunday,
October 31, 2021 in his 73rd year. Bill passed peacefully surrounded by
his family. Loved son of the late John Kitching (WW2 Veteran) and Doris
Kitching.

Loving and proud father of Sheri (Bill) and Rob. Admired and cherished
Papa of Alli, Zack, Xavier, Georgia and Emerson. Survived and fondly
remembered by his former spouse Carol. Adored and valued by his sister
Helen and brothers John (Brenda) and Dave (Chris). Will be missed by
nieces and nephews and cherished friends. Special thanks to Dr. Raso and
the ICU team at Guelph General Hospital for their compassionate care of
our Dad.

Bill grew up and raised his family in Guelph, Ontario. With knowledge,
experience and determination he built a successful metal fabrication
company, which he proudly operated for over 25 years. Following his
career as an entrepreneur, Bill traded his long intense days of work for
the quiet lake life – first as a cottager and eventually as a boater.
Bill was a social being who was friends of many, known for his ease of
conversation and sincerity. For many summers he liked his dockside
gatherings and storytelling with his boating friends. He was also a
private man who enjoyed the peaceful, serene view of Georgian Bay from
his boat.

Bill was taken from us too soon but his legacy lives on through his
family and friends and the memories we have created together.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at the Gilbert
MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street, North,
Guelph on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 12-2 p.m. To attend a
visitation time, please RSVP on the funeral home website under Bill’s
obituary. A private service, by invitation only, will be held in the
funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. To watch the funeral service, please click

donations to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be
