KNIPE, Joan Marilyn (Rogers)

Joan Marilyn Knipe, aged 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Saturday, May 7 at the Elliot Community in Guelph, her daughter at her side. Joan was an avid reader, gardener and loved to travel. She was a fan of classic movies and loved dogs. Supportive of her family and particularly her husband Doug (2004), she will be deeply missed. Joan is survived by two brothers, Ken and Allan Rogers, sister, Marg Kelly, son and daughter Douglas and Catherine (Jeff McGuire) and two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Leonard (Lisa). Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph  on Wednesday May 11th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. with service following  at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or The Elliott Community.
