Peacefully, at the Guelph General Hospital with her family by her side on Monday, March 12, 2018. Erma Elma (nee Hamel) Koebel, in her 98th year, was the beloved wife of the late Carl Joseph Koebel (1999). She was the dear mother of Sandra (Robert) Stockford and Sharon (Jerry) Parisotto.
Erma is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Christa (Alex) Tolledi, Darrick (Pamela) Stockford, Jeff (April) Doyle, Jeanette (Scott) Hurst, and great- grandchildren Briar MacDonald, Devan MacDonald, Logan Hurst, Kinzie Hurst, Carson Stockford, Brooklyn Stockford and Gage Doyle. Erma is survived by her two sisters Myrtle Baetz (late Bob) and Marion Mighton (Tom) and by two sisters-in-law Marie Hamel and Kathleen Hamel. She was predeceased by siblings Mildred (Gordon) Parker, Harvey Hamel, Eileen (Ted) Zimmer, Elva (Fred) Furlotte, Arnold (Beatrice) Hamel and Orville Hamel and by her parents John and Sophia (nee Rody) Hamel.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. A Vigil for Erma will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
