It is with great sadness that we announce Ron’s passing on February 20th, 2024 in Guelph, Ontario in his 87th year.
Ron was a beloved husband of Pauline (nee Radley) for 50 years. Loved father of his daughters Samantha and Melissa (Meredith Gillyon), and cherished grandfather to Madeline. Dear brother of Mary Harrison (Herbert Harrison) and predeceased by his sister Nancy Williamson (Geoff Williamson). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Lois (Ken Gott), Mark (Michelle Williamson), Andrew Paterson, and Ian (Charlotte Paterson), Danielle Radley, Joanna (Adam LeBoubon), Stephanie and Andrew Radley.
Born in Eslington, Newcastle Upon Tyne in England. He was known for his strong Geordie accent, big smile, dry sense of humour and kind disposition. He travelled around England, and the States as an electronics engineer before settling in Canada with his wife Pauline. He was a lifetime fan of Newcastle United, and a lover of boston cream donuts, all animals (big and small) and the outdoors. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.
