LeDuc Raymond MM

Following a brief and courageous battle against lung cancer, Bob passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, the afternoon of Monday, April 4th 2022, just one day shy of his 67th birthday.  Born and raised in Guelph, Bob or “Duke” as many close friends and family knew him as, loved his family more than anything especially his loving wife of 48 years, Susan.  If you ask anyone, they will tell you Bob and Sue are the true definition of soulmates.

Aside from being a devoted husband, Bob was also the proud father and friend of Lisa, Dawn, daughter in-law Denise and daughter #3, Suzzette.  It will be his witty humour, contagious laugh, unwavering strength and big heart that his children will miss the most!

A compassionate animal lover, Bob also leaves behind 3 grand-furbabies Zoey, Koda and Aries who all had a very special place in their grandpa’s heart.

Loving son of Yvonne and the late Henry LeDuc.  Beloved brother of Karen Rice, Jude Walker (Rick), Mike LeDuc (Vi), late brother Paul LeDuc (Rhonda), George LeDuc (Donna) and Michelle Teatro (Frank).  Adored son in-law of the late Doreen and Bob Drake.  Cherished brother in-law of the late Robert Drake (Deb), Bill Drake (Sharon), Al Drake, Pat Langille (Bob), Linda Drake (late Bill Deans), Joe Drake (Darlene), Kim Goode (Wally “Bro”) and Dan Drake (Marilyn).  Greatly missed also by many nieces and nephews along with his friends and work family at TreeHouse Foods in Georgetown.

As Bob’s new chapter begins, we know he was welcomed with open arms by his infant son and his furbabies Buddy, Chelsea, Natter-Nat and all his loved ones who have gone before him.

The LeDuc family would also like to extend a huge thank you to Bob’s oncology team, Dr. Doherty and Dr. Glick at Grand River Hospital, Dr. Robinson at Guelph General Hospital plus his home care team especially Dr. Spadafora and Gerry from Closing the Gap.  All of your dedication and compassion will never be forgotten!

Cremation has taken place. As per Bob’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.  A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
