Fondly known as Vicky or Queen Victoria.
With heavy hearts we share the passing of Victoria Marie LeDuc (née Theaker) and celebrate an extraordinarily rich life.
Vicky was born January 23, 1927 in Guelph to Maude Theaker (Keating) and Harry Theaker and is predeceased by her brothers Lawrence (Vera), Henry, sister Kathleen (Richard). She is survived by her sister-in-law Ronnie and cherished brother James. She was also much beloved by her predeceased sisters-in-law Yvonne and Joan, Jackie and brother-in-law Don.
Vicky loved being a mother. She married her husband, Patrick Henry LeDuc, in November 1949 in Guelph and together they raised 9 children at their home on Sydenham Street, where everyone was welcome. To say her kids were her everything would be an understatement. She was revered and deeply loved by her six sons and three daughters: Richard (Gail), Randall (Lynn), Ronald, Christine (John), Reginald (Sam), Cynthia (Ron), Wayne (Wendy), Raymond (Rosa), and Charlène.
Her role as gramma was one of great delight to her 16 grandchildren: Aaron, Aimée, Amanda (Maciej), Danielle Anthony), Evan, Jeremy (Ashley), Marcy (Mike), Mathew, Michael (Carrie), Monique, Nicole (Martin), Patrick, Pennie (Andrew), Stephen (Crystal), Taya, Tim.
Her good genes, tough nature permitted her a long reign as a twinkle-eyed card shark (and cheat!) and she reveled in introducing her skills to her 16 great grandchildren: Ashton, Ben, Charly, Cooper, Dyllan, Henry, Isabella, Jace, Jack, Kyla, Maeve, Maizie, Malcolm, Mitchell, Violet, Zoey.
Vicky was famous for apple pies, spaghetti sauce, toasted cheese and her stews that contained everything but the kitchen sink. She used funny expressions like “bugger-lug” and “On the double…”. She proudly wore title of Aunt Vicky to many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
She enjoyed camping with the family Lionel trailer, cottaging with family, and visiting her special brother-in-law Herbie’s cottage with her sister-in-law Nora.
After most of her kids had flown the coop she enjoyed many travel adventures with senior groups, her family, and her friends Veronica, Edith, and Betty. She visited her son Ray in France, her son Reg in Finland and her daughter Charlène in California and New York. When she was not travelling, she was making beautiful handmade quilts for her children and grandchildren.
If you knew Vicky, her hands were never idle. She gave, she did, and she made this world sparkle. Leading by example, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Knox Church Logos, Knox Quilters (which she started), and made blankets for numerous organizations to help the most vulnerable. She made friends everywhere she went, she will be missed by her long time neighbour Marg among many good friends.
Thank you to all of her special friends at Terrace on the Square, and the staff who supported her with kindness and dignity.
We will miss you mom, but know that your grace will always be imprinted on everyone who met and loved you. We will do good, be good and we will always cheat at cards — all in your name.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private family service will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051. A Celebration of life will take place when we can gather safely.
