The family moved to Acton and during her teens she worked at the Mason Knitting. Madeleine met her husband George Lee during WWII and they were married at St. Albans in 1946. They moved to Eluthera in the Bahamas where they lived for two years before returning to start their family.
Madeleine was a devoted mother to two daughters Jackie and Cindi. Her caring and devotion was extended to her aging parents and the entire family of brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Madeleine and George had a love of adventure and visited places such as India, South America, England, Italy, France, Hawaii, Mexico & the Bahamas. Madeleine continued her travels well into her 80’s attending her grandsons wedding in Jamaica, and trips to Ireland Newfoundland, Los Vegas and a few winter vacations in Florida.

She loved spending time in her garden on Longfield Rd in Acton where the colorful sight of the property-wide rock garden in bloom was enjoyed by friends and neighbors.
