Died February 26, 2021, with her children at her side, after a brief struggle with cancer.
Born in Port Glasgow, Scotland, she immigrated to Canada with her family in 1967. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph while raising her young children – sometimes even bringing them along to the lecture hall. She later achieved Certified General Accountant designation and went on to become Chief Financial Officer at Tiger Drylac Canada. She was an avid traveller and hiker, a lover of the arts, and a model of courage, curiosity and integrity for all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her children Adam (Kate) and Erin (Andrew); grandchildren Isla, Eveline, Callan, and Camdyn; sisters Alison (Ray), Sandra (Jim), and Mandy (Ben); and nieces and nephews Andrew (Amy), Kate (Tom), Gillian (Cory), Alec, and Cameron. She was predeceased by her parents Archie and Catherine. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
