LUMB, Doreen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Doreen
Lumb on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 due to complications from pneumonia.
Doreen was born on March 28, 1924 in Yorkshire England. Doreen and her
husband Jack immigrated along with their son Paul and daughter Carole to
Canada in 1958 to start a new life. Doreen worked at the downtown
Eaton’s store in Toronto until her retirement.

Beloved mother of Paul and Carole and her husband Joe Brooks. Doreen was
predeceased by her youngest daughter Patricia, her husband Jack and
beloved daughter-in-law Bev. She is survived by her grandchildren Andrew
(Marg), Sean (Karen), Shan-Eda (Liz), Stephanie (Chris) and Chris
(Sabrina) and great-grandmother of Jaimie, Liam and Adam Brooks, Padraig
Wilson and Fae-Lynn Lumb, Cameron, Connor and Ryan Snook and Maia and
Eden Elliot Lumb.

A special thank you to the nurses of the 4th floor at St. Mary’s
Hospital, Kitchener for their compassionate care while Doreen was a
patient.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the
Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel 252 Dublin St. N.,
Guelph on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. The funeral will be
live streamed on Zoom by following the link on the funeral home website.
Interment of cremated remains in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Myeloma Canada, Heart and
Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated
by the family.
