Lyons, Roz (nee Dewar)
August 15th, 1946 - August 29th, 2023
Of Kitchener, ON peacefully passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 77. Roz was surrounded by the love of her family and the comfort of the fresh air and sunshine. Formerly of Sault Ste Marie, Roz was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Linda and her brother, Rick (Joni) Dewar.
Her daughters, Christine (Robert), Tara (Ron), and Mandee (Matt), as well as step children, Randi and Carl will carry on her memory. Roz was Grandma to Krystal (Shawn), Rachel, Catelynn, Danyael, and Alyzabeth, and GiGi of Annabelle, Daemon, and Cienna.
Beginning in SSM in 1978, and after moving to KW in 1986, Roz was employed as a Master Tax Specialist and her expertise will continue with the many students who learned from her time spent teaching with H&R Block.
The family want to extend their thanks to Innisfree House of Kitchener for the compassionate care given to Roz and her family during her final days, and would request in lieu of flowers, a donation to Innisfree House be made in Roz's honour. Thanks are also extended to Passages of Guelph for their services.
At Roz's request, there will be no funeral service.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
