Peacefully at Eden House on August 20, 2023, at the age of 98 with her family by her side.
Daughter of the late Neil and Edna McConkey. Former wife of Thomas McGregor MacDonald (1997). Loving mother of Kathy (Terry Johnston), Grant (Jaci Kohli), Karen (Ron Barber), and Maggie (Todd Foglesong). Dear Gramma of Asha, Daryl, Tyler, Angus, Neve, and Great-Gramma of Aletheia. Sister of the late Harold McConkey (Gloria) (Myrtle), and the late Mary (George Beard). Dear Aunt Paul to her many nieces and nephews.
Pauline lived most of her adult life in Guelph and Puslinch township, raising four children and enjoying a long career as a public health nurse. She was a lifelong seeker, deeply interested in people and their stories. Over the course of her long life, she touched many many people with her loving spirit, her wisdom, and her humour. A special heartfelt thank you to the staff of Eden House for their care and kindness. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Eden House would be appreciated by the family
A Celebration of Life will take place at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 1- 4 p.m. The family will welcome guests starting at 1pm and an informal service will begin in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m. A reception to follow.
