Maciesza Richard MM
Richard Maciesza passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  Richard was in his 92nd year and lived a very full life.

Richard was born in Izabelin, Poland.  His father was the late Waclaw Maciesza who was killed in World War II at a very young age.   He and his mother the late Wanda Maciesza (Thumm) then immigrated to Canada in 1949 where he married his lifelong sweetheart Stella Maciesza (Lasek) in 1961.  In April 2021 they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary together.   Richard’s career as an exhibit builder included 22 years with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food located at the University of Guelph.
Richard was an amazing inspiration and role model to his two sons, Rick (Zonya) Maciesza from Grand Bend and Steve (Russell) Maciesza of London. He was so very proud of his three grand children, Lucas (Amanda) Maciesza, Mikayla (Adam) Schraeder, Kristy (Beau) Banerjee and six great grand children Ava, Myah, Arlo, Ariana, Raelyn and Richard.

Richard was a humble, selfless, hard working and caring man who always put his family first.  He had a very strong Christian faith and was always concerned about others.  He was talented beyond measure and gifted in so many areas of his life, leaving his family with a legacy that will last a lifetime.  Richard was a true inspiration to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the caring doctors and nurses at the Acute Stroke Unit at University Hospital in London, Ontario along with the many friends for their love and support over the years.
